Banyan Design offered the art direction and design of this unique cookbook for free as their contribution to an amazing cause. The authors gathered the recipes directly from slum residents living in communities around Delhi who are served by Asha, an Indian NGO working to improve the conditions in the slums and bring hope to the urban poor. 16 of the cooks are profiled in depth, giving insight into the way their lives have been transformed by Asha’s work. All proceeds from the sale of Hope & Spice go to Asha.
